From design and production to service, STAHL customers receive everything from one factory, Made in Germany. STAHL employees give their best every day in a wide variety of departments and professions. In our ‘Jobs at STAHL’ series, the people behind STAHL introduce themselves and provide exciting insights into their day-to-day work. The first interview is with Denise Bär, an employee in the Internal Sales department in Sindelfingen. Denise Bär has been with STAHL since 2022 and, as part of the sales team, ensures the satisfaction of our customers.
What is your main task at STAHL?
I support the sales department with all the tasks that arise in the back office. That’s what makes my job so varied and interesting. I used to work in the back office of a haulage company. The knowledge I built up in this environment, for example about customs documents, is something I can put to good use today.
A spare parts delivery to Luanda, Angola? I would love to! What I find particularly exciting about my job is the variety of tasks. It’s not just customs documents that I deal with: I write quotations, enter orders, compile relevant documents and support customers with all their questions.
What do you particularly enjoy about your work at STAHL?
I’m always particularly pleased when I get to meet customers in person. I have contact with many customers by phone, but meeting them in person is something else. When customers come to visit us, I also love to see how impressed they are with our company, our production and our machines. It’s a wonderful experience every time.
Not only do we have the best customers, we also have the best team: the collegial cooperation with all departments and employees is great and one reason why I look forward to coming into the office every morning.
What do you think makes STAHL so successful?
We stand behind our products! And you can see that in every detail. The employees at STAHL don’t just produce and sell anything, but products made by hand. Our four managing directors lead by example: they know exactly which machine will make the customer’s day-to-day work easier – the focus is on the product. Even after the machine has been delivered to the customer, we keep an eye on everything and look after our customers. I am sure that customers realise that we are a committed family business with short lines of communication and full commitment to our machines.
What is your favourite STAHL product?
Without a doubt: the KOMBIFOLD! Because I have to admit: Folding laundry is pretty much the stupidest household chore I can imagine. So the folding machines are real problem solvers for me. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough space at home for one of my own.
Even my daughter is so fascinated that she has made a small copy. So the whole family is delighted with the STAHL products.
