From the Construction about the Production all the way to the Service At STAHL, customers get everything from a single plant—Made in Germany. Every day, STAHL employees across a wide range of departments and professions give it their all. In our „Jobs at STAHL“ series, the people behind STAHL introduce themselves and offer fascinating insights into their day-to-day work. Our first interview is with Denise Bär, an inside sales representative in Sindelfingen. Denise Bär has been with STAHL since 2022 and, as part of the sales team, ensures our customers’ satisfaction.
What is your main responsibility at STAHL?
I support the sales department with all the tasks that come up in the back office. That’s what makes my job so varied and interesting. I used to work in the back office at a freight forwarding company. The knowledge I gained in that setting—for example, about customs documents—is something I can put to great use today.
A spare parts shipment to Luanda, Angola? I’d be happy to! What I find particularly exciting about my job is the variety of tasks. It’s not just customs documents that I handle: I write quotes, enter orders, compile relevant documentation, and assist customers with all their questions.
What do you enjoy most about your work at STAHL?
I’m always especially happy when I get to meet customers in person. I’m in contact with many customers over the phone, but meeting them in person is something else entirely. When customers come to visit us, I also love seeing how impressed they are with our company, our production facilities, and our machines. It’s a wonderful experience every single time.
Not only do we have the best customers, but we also have the best team: The collaborative spirit among all departments and employees is fantastic, and it’s one of the reasons I look forward to coming to the office every morning.
In your opinion, what makes STAHL successful?
We stand behind our products! And you can see that in every detail. The employees at STAHL don’t just produce and sell just anything—they create handcrafted products. Our four managing directors lead by example: They know exactly which machine makes the customer’s daily work easier—the focus is on the product. Even after the machine has been delivered to the customer, we keep a close eye on everything and take care of our customers. I’m certain that our customers can tell we’re a passionately run family business, with short lines of communication and a full commitment to our machines.
What is your favorite STAHL product?
One thing is clear: The KOMBIFOLD! Because I have to admit: folding laundry is pretty much the most tedious chore I can imagine. So for me, these folding machines are real lifesavers. Unfortunately, I don't have enough space at home for one of my own.
Even my daughter is so fascinated that she made a small version of it herself. So the whole family is thrilled with STAHL products.
