The various facilities of WGfS GmbH, a leading provider of senior care, are located in Filderstadt, near Stuttgart. WGfS GmbH’s services include home care, day care, short-term care, dementia care, full-time residential care, and household assistance. „Haus Kettemerstraße“ is a family-run residential community in Filderstadt-Bernhausen and the „birthplace“ of WGfS—today, around 17 seniors live there. STAHL laundry machines are in use at the three facilities—„Haus Kettemerstraße,“ „Haus Casa Medici,“ and „Haus Albblick“—including several ATOLL washers as well as the T 136 and T 234 dryers.
WGfS GmbH launders residents„ clothing, towels, bed linens, tablecloths, and other laundry generated in the living areas. To ensure good hygiene practices, there is a separate room for soiled and clean laundry. “Having our own machines gives us the advantage of being able to involve our residents in these everyday tasks. This conserves resources, and it makes people feel needed. It’s just like living at home,„ says facility director and managing director Malvine Amos. “Another advantage, of course, is that we can wash textiles quickly and easily whenever they’re needed. It gives us more flexibility in our day-to-day lives.”
The robust and durable STAHL ATOLL washing machine features automatic load detection, which ensures that only as much energy and water are used as is necessary for the load at hand. Thanks to its sturdy drum with large perforations, fabrics are washed particularly gently. STAHL dryers dry laundry quickly, gently, and energy-efficiently, featuring recirculating air recovery and residual moisture monitoring. STAHL machines are characterized by simple operation and the ability to freely program all parameters.
In addition to the quality of the machines, WGfS GmbH chose STAHL primarily because of its outstanding customer service. Initially, the company had only one STAHL machine on site. After machines from other manufacturers broke down, management decided to gradually switch to STAHL machines. „The service is very impressive. We always have a contact person who arrives on site quickly and takes care of any issues,“ says Malvine Amos.
