The history of the Rötlenmühle near Ellwangen dates back to the 16th century. Converted into a convalescent home for mothers in 1932, it became a new home after the war for elderly and sick refugees from the eastern German regions—and so the Rötlenmühle naturally evolved into a nursing home. The facility has always been run with great care and dedication, and over time it has taken in more and more people suffering not only from physical limitations but also from mental and emotional challenges. Over the years, numerous renovation and modernization projects have been carried out on the buildings, including the construction of a service building with a laundry facility as well as an ironing and mangle room. For over 20 years, STAHL equipment has been used here to clean the residents’ laundry.
In addition to residents„ personal laundry, the facility primarily handles bed linens, table linens, and kitchen linens, so the laundry is in operation every day. In addition to several ATOLL washing machines, two dryers and a roll-in trough mangle are used to finish the flat linens at Rötlenmühle. After the Rötlenmühle nursing and disability care home initially chose STAHL, worn-out equipment was gradually replaced with new machines from STAHL: “The quality simply won us over, and now we have everything from a single source,” explains Annette Blum-Schacherl, who heads the administration at Rötlenmühle.
The laundry employs full-time staff who ensure that operations run smoothly every day and appreciate how easy the machines are to use. STAHL’s punctual and reliable service is also highly valued in Ellwangen-Rötlen, as the high volume of laundry means the machines must run flawlessly every day.
