Rescue, extinguish, recover, and protect—the Mönchberg Volunteer Fire Department handles a wide range of tasks. To ensure the health and safety of firefighters during various operations, clean protective gear is essential. That’s why the Mönchberg fire station decided a few years ago to take charge of the professional cleaning of protective gear in-house. Previously, cleaning was outsourced to a large industrial laundry—and the equipment had suffered greatly as a result. Since STAHL equipment was installed in Mönchberg in 2020, the protective gear has been professionally and gently cleaned by the uniform manager. An additional benefit is the resulting reduction in the laundry load, as washing and drying are completed in no time at all with the high-performance ATOLL washing machine and the large TS 1300 drying cabinet, and the protective gear is immediately ready for use again.
In addition to cleaning equipment, the Mönchberg Fire Station also launders the work clothes of employees at the local public works yard.
