The Land Gut Höhne Organic Hotel is committed to a holistic approach—the rooms are designed using natural materials in accordance with ecological building principles, and, of course, the hotel also prioritizes organic quality when it comes to linens. The standards for laundry are high, as resource-efficient laundry—using as little detergent, water, and energy as possible—is particularly important to the organic hotel. That is why, in the early 2000s (back when Land Gut Höhne was not yet an organic hotel), the hotel chose STAHL equipment, as the machines offer the option of custom settings—for example, for detergent dispensing—while remaining easy to operate.
In Mettmann, large quantities of hotel, restaurant, and spa linens are generated every day. These include towels, bathrobes, tablecloths, napkins, and clothing, primarily made of organic cotton. The mountains of linens are washed using several ATOLL washing machines and then dried in the dryers; if necessary, they are mangled using the roll-in trough mangles. Both an 800-series mangle with a folding machine and a smaller mangle are used for this purpose. At Land Gut Höhne, the decision was made to choose STAHL because STAHL was the only manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment that could offer machines suitable for the demands of the hospitality industry and, at the same time, manufactured in Germany.
In addition to sustainability, Land Gut Höhne places a high priority on hospitality and respectful interaction. That is why they also value the personal and reliable relationship they have with STAHL Laundry Machinery. From the hotel’s perspective, partnering with a German family-owned company that provides excellent support through friendly communication and is always there when needed is a huge asset.
