Since 2000, Christian Kindler, a master building cleaner, has been offering a comprehensive range of services for private customers and businesses through Kindler Gebäudereinigung. Originally, he used his home washing machine to clean his mops and cloths. This was quickly followed by his first small commercial washing machine, which served him well for many years. However, there was one thing that bothered Christian Kindler. He had always offered a mat cleaning service to his commercial customers. Time and again, however, the mats would not return from the industrial laundry on time—or worse yet, they would be returned damaged and warped. This did not meet his quality standards. On top of that, the mats were often subjected to excessive wear and tear during the washing process, which meant that Kindler could use his rental mats less frequently. As part of the new construction project, planning for which began in 2012, Christian Kindler decided to equip his own laundry facility so that he could wash his mats himself.
At Texcare 2016, he discovered STAHL Laundry Machinery and the perfect machine for his needs: the ATOLL washer-extractor.
Christian Kindler ultimately chose an ATOLL 1100 and a T 256. Each machine can hold a full 115 kg of laundry per wash cycle. In terms of mops, that’s about 250 40-cm mops per load. Depending on the wash cycle, the machine takes about 50 minutes, and drying takes roughly the same amount of time. This allows Christian Kindler’s team to professionally clean and dry around 250 mops in less than two hours. Each week, the Kindler Building Services team washes 1,500 to 3,000 mops. The machines are used for virtually all types of textiles: dirt-trapping mats, mops, PU cloths, cotton and microfiber cloths, work clothes, and cotton textiles.
To ensure consistent quality and make the process as easy as possible for employees, the washing machine is connected to a liquid detergent dispenser. The most commonly used programs can be started with a single press of a button using the quick-select buttons.
