Founded in 1840 as a „children’s rescue home,“ the Augustenhilfe in Albstadt is now a modern senior care facility where older adults and those in need of care are looked after with love and professionalism. Every day, the on-site laundry facility handles large volumes of residents’ laundry: whether it’s outerwear, underwear, washcloths, or wool sweaters, all textiles are cleaned professionally and hygienically in the facility’s own laundry. In addition to the residents’ clothing, the facility in Albstadt also launders the staff’s work uniforms as well as pillows, comforters, and bedspreads.
Since 2018, the facility has relied on STAHL’s professional washing machines. At that time, there were ongoing problems with one of the machines from the old fleet. Service and repairs were unsatisfactory, and the wait time for a needed replacement part was eight weeks. That’s why the team at Augustenhilfe decided to partner with STAHL Laundry Machinery. The manufacturer made a strong impression right from the first consultation: „The consultation was professional, and the plans for the technicians were excellent, allowing them to get started right away,“ recalls the laundry manager at Augustenhilfe Albstadt. First, the defective washing machine was replaced with a model from STAHL, followed later by another STAHL washing machine and a vacuum ironing table. Going forward, all obsolete equipment will be gradually replaced with STAHL machines, as the Albstadt team is completely satisfied with the manufacturer’s quality and service.
The Augustenhilfe Foundation was particularly impressed from the very beginning by the high-quality German craftsmanship and excellent service. Minor issues involving error messages have so far been resolved over the phone, so there has been no need to schedule a service technician in such cases. The staff in Albstadt are also thrilled with how easy the machines are to use. When the second washing machine was put into operation, the saved programs from the existing model could be transferred to it, which made operating the new machine very easy for the team.
