Flat Linens Folding Machine STARFOLD

The STARFOLD ironing and folding machine, with up to two optional stackers, allows you to work on up to three lanes side by side simultaneously, handling different types of laundry and folding patterns. In addition, the lanes can be automatically linked, giving you the full working width for a single piece of laundry.

Photocells continuously monitor the position of the laundry being ironed. The length of each piece is calculated, and your flat laundry is folded accordingly. You can choose between no folds, one fold, or two longitudinal folds, as well as up to three transverse folds. If you choose not to fold the linens, they can either be fed through the STARFOLD unfolded or deposited directly onto the machine’s discharge table via the shortest route. This is the correct setting for napkins or cleaning cloths and oilcloths.

The STAHL STARFOLD folding machine is designed to handle your laundry gently. Longitudinal folding is performed by a dynamic air jet. This technology offers high folding precision, is gentle on laundry, and requires minimal maintenance. The first cross-fold is performed by a folding blade, while the second and third cross-folds are performed by an automatic reversing mechanism. The effective width of the cross-fold is 90 cm.

All functions are controlled centrally via the FREEpro microprocessor control system. The large touchscreen display ensures clarity and ease of use. Up to 99 programs can be stored here, and various values can be monitored on the display.

The fabric-laying table at the rear of an STAHL folding machine is made of high-quality veneered wood. This natural material absorbs moisture and prevents a film of water from forming, as would happen with a metal table. Another advantage is that the high-quality wooden table does not get hot, thereby minimizing the risk of burns for you and your employees.

The long conveyor behind the STAHL trough calender offers a unique opportunity to significantly improve your folding results. This way, the material is measured only during the longer transport path from the calender to the first longitudinal fold. Unlike measurement between the calender feed table and the calender exit, the long conveyor guarantees you the highest folding accuracy.
