The mingle’s return mechanism is designed so that your laundry can be conveniently removed in an upright position after passing through the mingle. There’s no need for tedious bending over, since the laundry is discharged onto the top of the hood rather than into a laundry bin at the bottom. The STAHL Super-Mulde is a truly unique feature in trough technology. Only thanks to its raised feed area does STAHL’s dimensionally stable trough technology offer you an actual wrap angle of 180° under contact pressure. The use of this technology increases the flattening distance under contact pressure by up to 20 %. In addition, STAHL troughs made of gray cast iron or steel ensure excellent heat retention and even heat distribution. Unlike, for example, lower-quality heating bands or aluminum molds, STAHL molds remain absolutely dimensionally stable even under extreme temperature fluctuations and maintain the set ironing temperature much longer during ironing without the need for continuous reheating. In addition, steam-heated STAHL hot mangles feature a split steam distribution system within the machine. This ensures that only the first half of the trough, across the entire working width, receives a concentrated supply of fresh steam to maintain a constant ironing temperature. All of this promises you maximum performance with optimal energy efficiency and, above all, first-class finish quality.

With STAHL recirculating calenders, the roller moves up and down, not the heavy trough. This means that the trough is not lifted and pressed against the roller—which would require a constant, enormous amount of energy—but rather, with STAHL hot calenders, the roller is lowered into the trough and pressed against it for calendering. For you, this means that with STAHL, you save energy and make cleaning the trough easier, since the roller lifts far out of the trough for this purpose.

The electronically controlled, continuously variable three-phase gearmotor is mounted directly on the roller and is controlled via a frequency converter. It ensures low-maintenance, loss-free operation of your recirculating calender, featuring a low-stress soft start and stop. With the specially developed PTS drive, the power electronics, together with the intelligent control system, regulate the motors’ energy consumption at any given moment. Thanks to the highly efficient drive technology, your energy consumption is reduced to a minimum. No lubrication and no chains or V-belts ensure minimal maintenance requirements.

The optimal contact pressure and the long pressing stroke of STAHL single-operator mangles designed for flush-to-wall installation are the key factors behind the first-class finish quality of your textiles. Together with the trough-style mangle’s design principle, these two factors result in an elegant sheen on your pressed linens. Furthermore, unlike with a cylinder mangle, STAHL mangles leave no unsightly mangle belt marks, ensuring you always achieve the best possible mangling results.

With STAHL hot calenders, laundry is fed via non-slip conveyor belts that prevent the laundry from slipping and significantly reduce the need for constant adjustments during feeding. This increases your laundry throughput, as you can move on to the next piece of laundry sooner. The belt drive is self-tensioning, and the drive motor is integrated into the electronic control system, ensuring synchronized operation with the selected ironing speed. No tension is applied to the laundry item. This ensures that a round tablecloth remains round and a square one remains square. Optionally, the infeed area can be supplemented with a performance-enhancing vacuum system.

STAHL return calenders come standard with a user-friendly analog control system that allows, among other things, for stepless adjustment of the calender speed. Optionally, the mangle can also be operated via the STAHL FREEpro touch microprocessor control system with a large display. The design ensures clarity and ease of use.
