Our intelligent water regulation system (WRS) constantly monitors the water level and automatically adjusts to the conditions. For example, the WS system detects underloading and uses less water. As a result, STAHL WS commercial washing machines always have the lowest possible water consumption and are the most economical washing machines for your commercial needs.

The robust bearing assembly of the WS industrial washing machine is a striking testament to the quality of our STAHL laundry machines. The drum bearing system is impressively sized, is equipped with an automatic lubrication system, and is protected against washing solution in multiple ways.

The STAHL drum is suitable for washing all types of textiles—including heavily soiled mop covers or dirt-trapping mats—in a single wash cycle, without leaving coarse dirt in the drum after the wash cycle.

The STAHL stainless steel washing drum features perforations that run from the inside to the outside with funnel-shaped, gentle radii. This ensures that your laundry is handled very gently, increases the desired friction within the laundry itself, and reduces friction against the metal. The number and size of the holes are optimized for maximum efficiency. They ensure rapid drainage of the wash water, which is particularly important during the spin cycle to quickly achieve the target residual moisture level of approximately 48 % while minimizing energy consumption. In addition, thanks to the STAHL drum perforation, you benefit from the fact that no coarse dirt from mop covers, dirt-trapping mats, kitchen linens, and horse blankets remains in the drum after the wash cycle. Depending on the washing machine size, the WS features four to six scoop ribs, which are also perforated. This scoop rib technology ensures greater movement and faster water flow through your laundry, thereby saving you time and energy. Another advantage of our drum is the curvature on the back. Compared to conventional systems, this reduces the area that does not come into contact with the laundry. This minimizes the amount of unused water, resulting in further water and energy savings.

The generously sized, optional stainless-steel drain valve—which has no ball, rubber diaphragm, or strainer—ensures reliable operation even when the laundry contains coarse debris and is easily accessible from the front through a large service door.

The stainless steel drain valve, which we developed and manufacture in-house, is generously sized and features a stepped design that prevents the buildup of dirt and the jamming of foreign objects. This ensures a reliable and cost-effective operation without time-consuming maintenance. The stainless steel drain valve in our commercial washing machines is water- or air-operated and therefore remains closed even during a power outage—a situation that would otherwise result in water loss and the need to restart the wash cycle. This ensures operational reliability with STAHL’s commercial washer-extractors. Another advantage for you is that the valve is wear-free, as the STAHL stainless steel drain valve contains no rubber diaphragm, ball, or screen. As a result, you benefit from minimized maintenance requirements.

Our flexible FREEpro touch control system allows the WS to be used in a variety of ways. With 99 freely programmable wash cycles and the ability to adjust various parameters even while the wash cycle is in progress, it delivers a compelling user experience. The adjustable parameters include, among others, temperature, soak time, water level, spin speed, rinse time, spin time, and spin speed.

The standard washing solutions include programs with different temperatures, rinse cycles, and spin speeds, as well as single-, double-, and triple-soak cycles. You can easily get started with one of the wash program packages, e.g., for: hotels, building cleaning, nursing homes, fire departments, wet cleaning programs for dry cleaning, equestrian sports, and much more.

The FREEpro also allows you to use thermal and chemothermal disinfection programs in accordance with the guidelines of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

In addition, mop covers and cloths can be treated with cleaning agents or surface disinfectants directly in the machine. This ensures that the materials are ready for use again immediately after washing.

During the wash cycle, the laundry in a STAHL washing machine is affected not only by mechanical action but also by fluctuating water pressure, which increases the machine’s efficiency. You save energy, water, time, and detergent. This is achieved through a groundbreaking design found exclusively in STAHL washing machines. The round drum does not rotate inside a round outer drum as is customary; instead, our outer drum is geometrically optimized. Water pressure increases at the narrowest point, and thanks to the perforations in the drum and the lifting ribs, water flows rapidly and forcefully onto and through the laundry.

In the overflow rinse cycle, the detergent and the dirt it has bound are carried away through the lower-level overflow by the drum’s rotational motion. This eliminates the need for a full rinse cycle, resulting in shorter wash times and reduced water and energy consumption. Furthermore, unlike in the conventional rinse cycle, the laundry is not exposed to a flow of detergent and the dirt it has trapped through the bottom drain. This increases the level of cleanliness and reduces wear and tear on your laundry.
